Actually ... YES. With the launch of factions there will be so many new skill/build exploits it will be unreal. Anet will have to do a balance shortly after release so why bother now.

Arent the finals or guild tournament or whatever going on right now? I dont think they would change any skills while teams are competing, might change the playing field to favor one guild or another that already uses a build with one of those skills.

"Izzy" or Isaiah Cartwright is the skill balancer "chief." (those two names share the same account). If he says there's not going to be a balance chances are there won't, which is a shame.

Skill updates dont necessarily mean an entire overhaul of general balance you know. Sometimes it's just to buff up certain skills that need buffing and arent used at all. Or to nerf certain skills that are just too good.

Do you really think something like buffing Otyugh's Cry would be a wasted effort with the introduction of completely new skills?

Release of new skills wouldnt affect these type of changes. So tell me again why it would be pointless?

Elites? There is only one Sword Elite at the moment. Only one. It's nice that we Sword Warriors get 2 more Elites, but they still seem a little weak.

Ditto. But I'm on the fence. It is entirely possible that they planned a skill update, but it got bugged or something and rather than shove it out anyway, they chose to withhold it so as not to break certain aspects which are currently working. If this is the case, then this is definitely the right decision.

If they're withholding it because it isn't finished, then I'm disappointed, but I understand and thank them for not rushing a half-complete update to us.

If, however, they just decided to change their minds after Gaile said, repeatedly, that an update is happening, then I will be bothered. I know what Gaile says can't always be taken literally because she relays what she is told, and if someone higher up re-arranges something, it is in no way Gaile's job or responsibility to keep the devs to her word. Though, a little word announcing the change in decision would have been nice ahead of time.

I pretty much agree with everything said here.

That said, I'll be really disappointed if there isn't a skill update. I always love balancings--they shake things up, keep them fresh. Here's hoping.

They said there would be another update at the END of the SEASON. They tournement matches have been pushed back multiple times. Which means the balance updates will be pushed back as well.

Tournement is not officially over. Until it is just wait.
